Construction of a new US$4 million casino has begun on Cambodia’s border with Vietnam. The development, in Svay Rieng province, is the latest in a series of planned casino projects in Cambodia, who are aiming to attract cross-border trade from Vietnam. The Samsoun Casino & Resort will be set on 10 hectares of land, 1km from the Vietnamese border, and will include a residential area, shopping mall and business facilities. There are currently 27 licensed casinos operating in Cambodia.
