Buaya Travel Re-brand
Buaya Travel will re-brand as Asia World Indonesia from August 1st, 2010 onwards. The joint venture, aimed at increasing market share, had been in negotiation for the past few months and is part of Asia World Enterprise’s expansion plans.
Asia World’s Indonesia operations and business model will be aligned with Asia World’s headquarters in Bangkok. Email accounts will be also be changed, and details of this will be provided by newsflash close to the effective date to avoid any confusion. Asia World Indonesia will retain Buaya Travel’s staff but will gain marketing support from overseas representatives and a dedicated MICE team in Bangkok.
Buaya Travel’s membership in Asian Connections will be transferred to Asia World Indonesia.
World Express appointed official travel agent for Herbalife Extravaganza 2010 - Singapore's largest convention.
Herbalife held its Asia Pacific Extravaganza in Singapore in May 2010 attracting 18,000 participants, Singapore's largest meeting. World Express was again appointed the official travel agent for the convention to handle logistics, hotel accommodation and transportation for this important event.
The convention was held at the Singapore Expo and was open to participants from the Asia Pacific region covering over 13 countries. Participants gathered in Singapore for a three-day training sessions and meetings. Some of the highlights of the convention included the "Asia Pacific's Got Talent" concert and "Blue Hawaii Gala Party" held on Sentosa beach.
